After Utrecht, we had an overnight drive in the bus to Berlin.  16 bunks on the bus.  Between the band and crew, all were filled.  When we all woke, we had stopped outside our hotel to find it wet, windy, and snowing.

Here’s our tour bus from my hotel room….

Once we got settled, we all went in different directions for dinner and meeting people.  Below is CdB saxophonist Ron Dziubla, myself, CdB drummer Michael Urbano, and videographer/photographer Julianne Eggold.

And then a band ‘meeting’ with Michael Urbano, Ron Dziubla, band pal Simon, Paul Dempsey, Adrian Belew, and myself before getting a good night’s rest…

One of my proudest achievements over the past couple years has been putting these two together, Angelo Moore & Adrian Belew. The ying & the yang. Boundless talents and big hearts on & off stage. So much fun & so inspiring playing and hanging with these cats regularly. This video was in our hotel lobby in Berlin the same night. (video shot by Julianne Eggold).

Adrian Belew & Angelo Moore exchange ideas

The next day setting up the big show at Huxley’s we caught CdB singer Paul Dempsey clowning with the CdB merch girl Jessica right before the show in Berlin…

With David’s famous recording history and where Heroes was written and recorded, it was really great ending the European tour in Berlin to a full house at Huxley’s.

Of course, we had to have a little celebration at the hotel bar afterward.  Here is Adrian Belew, CdB crew Jeremy, CdB sax Ron Dziubla, CdB crew Scott, CdB merch Jessica, CdB crew Andre, myself, and kneeling is CdB band member Paul Dempsey.  This photo is a little fuzzy but so were we at this point.

OK…truth be told, some of us (not saying who) thought one was enough and snuck around the corner to the Muted Horn for one more nightcap.

The next day, we had 3 crew fly to Florida, 1 to Asheville NC and 1 to LA.  I stayed in Berlin for an extra week, Adrian went back to Nashville, Gerry to Dublin, Ron to Poland, Paul back to Melbourne, drummer Michael to Bologna, Mike/Angelo/Carmine/Joe all went back to Los Angeles.

I trekked, you trekked, we all trekked for Utrecht...
